Following the success of the ASR infeed Process installation,Birds Recycling Solutions were asked to tender for the design, manufacture and installation of a new Eldan shredder, Fines and Granulation Plant.

This new Eldan Plant was to include the installation of a Eldan Ringshredder, a Rollback Apron Conveyor, designing and manufacturing of a 14.5 meter x 1200 wide Primary inclined troughing conveyor, a 14.5 meter x 900 wide inclined troughing conveyor that would transfer the shredded fragments to a building that would house a Steinert ECS-1000, to be installed by the tendering company, that would be located over two bunkers where the separated processed material would be discharged into.

The new Fines Plant was to include the installation of two inclined Screw Conveyors, piggy backed and fed by a Vibratory Shaker Feeder. The fines fragments, would be fed into the building over a totally enclosed drum magnet that separates the ferrous fines from the non-ferrous materials to an outside bunker. The non-ferrous material would be discharged on to a vibratory feeder, and then on to a SGM ECS-1000, again to be installed by the tendering company, that would be located over two bunkers where the separated processed material would be discharged into.

The new Granulation Plant was to include the installation of a vibratory hopper feeder, feeding a Nihot air separation unit that removed large plastic fragments and fluff before discharging the remains on to a 14.5 meter x 900 wide inclined troughing conveyor which discharged into Granulator No.1 vibratory feeder that feeds Granulator No.1. This would granulate the feed product down to 15mm.

Positioned below Granulator No.1 head will be a horizontal screw conveyor that transfers the granulated product to an inclined screw conveyor that feeds Granulator No.2 vibratory feeder that feeds Granulator No.2. This would granulate the feed product down to 12mm.

Positioned below Granulator No.2 head will be a horizontal screw conveyor that transfers the granulated product to an inclined screw conveyor that feeds Granulator No.3 vibratory feeder that feeds Granulator No.3. This would granulate the feed product down to 6mm and into a bunker.

Birds successfully tendered for the contract and carried out all of the design and manufacturing at its premises based in Long Marston. Installation was completed on time and within the quoted price.
